Who this page is for
This page collects every live public-sector opening on Anmaya for AYUSH doctors: medical officer posts under state AYUSH departments, National Health Mission and National AYUSH Mission contracts, CGHS and ESIC dispensaries, the central research councils and the Ministry of AYUSH's institutions. It covers all five degrees — BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BNYS and BSMS — and each card says which qualification the notice names, where it names one. Most government notices reach Anmaya as community posts: a verified member sees a recruitment notice and shares it here, with provenance, so colleagues do not depend on a WhatsApp forward. A smaller number come from claim-verified institutions. Both are listed together, newest first.
Where government AYUSH posts come from
State AYUSH departments (or Departments of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy) are the largest employer, appointing medical officers to AYUSH wings in district hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres, usually through the state public service commission or a state recruitment board. The National AYUSH Mission funds contractual medical officer and yoga-wellness posts in every state; recruitment is run by the state mission society, often as walk-in drives. The National Health Mission employs AYUSH medical officers in co-located AYUSH facilities and in school and adolescent health programmes. CGHS and ESIC run Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Siddha and Yoga dispensaries in the larger cities and recruit through the UPSC, SSC or their own notices. The research councils — CCRAS, CCRH, CCRUM, CCRS and CCRYN — appoint research officers and senior research fellows. Central and state universities and the national institutes (such as the National Institute of Ayurveda, the National Institute of Homoeopathy and the National Institute of Siddha) recruit teaching and clinical staff on UGC and ministry scales.
Typical pay
Government pay is on published scales, so it varies by state and by whether the post is regular or contractual rather than by negotiation. Contractual medical officer posts under the National AYUSH Mission and NHM commonly pay ₹40,000 to ₹70,000 a month depending on the state; regular state medical officer posts are on Level 10 of the state pay matrix or its equivalent, roughly ₹56,000 upward with allowances. CGHS and ESIC medical officers are on central scales. Research officer posts at the councils follow council scales with a research allowance. The notice always states the pay; if a post shared here does not, follow the link to the original notice before applying.
How to read a notice
A government notice carries five things the community post may summarise: the post title and number of vacancies, the essential qualification (the degree and council registration), the age limit and relaxations, the mode of application (online portal, walk-in, or post) and the last date. The post on Anmaya shows the member's summary and, usually, the notice as an image or PDF. Apply through the route the notice specifies — never through a third party — and keep the receipt.
Registration
Every government clinical post requires registration with the relevant council — NCISM for Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha, NCH for Homoeopathy, the state board for Naturopathy and Yoga — and most require the state registration specifically. Notices state which. The Anmaya Verified mark on a profile means an ops reviewer has checked that credential against the council record.
How Anmaya fits in
Anmaya does not run government recruitment. What it does is collect the notices in one place, with the name of the member who shared each one, reviewed before publishing and expiring after thirty days so the list stays current. Employer posts from claim-verified institutions — a government college or hospital with a claimed organisation page — carry an Apply button and go through Anmaya. If you are an AYUSH doctor preparing for government recruitment and have not joined yet, a free verified profile puts you on the list the weekly jobs email goes to.
