Mind-Body Connections in Trapezius Pain: A Naturopathic Approach
I often see how deeply interconnected our physical symptoms and emotional well-being truly are.
Recently, a 45-year-old female patient came to my practice presenting with recurrent trapezius pain on and off. During her assessment, an iris diagnosis revealed a stress ring in her eyes, pointing toward underlying emotional and mental strain contributing to her physical condition.
To address her condition comprehensively, I combined naturopath and physiotherapy treatments aimed specifically at relieving her pain. Additionally, recognizing the findings from her iris diagnosis, I incorporated counseling and yoga therapy to address her stress levels.
Following this integrated care approach, the patient reported feeling better.
Based on this case, we can conclude that emotional and physical stress can indeed cause pain and tightness in the trapezius muscles, highlighting the necessity of treating the whole person rather than just the physical symptom.
