However, the patient was not taking insulin regularly.
📊 Progress During Admission
Parameter Day 1 Day 6
FBS 272 mg/dL 154 mg/dL
PPBS 306 mg/dL 180 mg/dL
With regular insulin intake, a diabetic naturopathy diet and lifestyle-based care, blood glucose levels showed significant improvement within 6 days.
🌿 Integrated Pain Management
Back pain gradually improved with:
- 🤲 Therapeutic Massage
- 🏃 Physiotherapy
- 📍 Acupuncture
- 🥗 Therapeutic Diabetic Diet
- 💉 Regular prescribed insulin
💡 Learning Point
Insulin should not be stopped abruptly in a patient with poorly controlled diabetes.
As glycemic control improves, insulin requirements may decrease, but any reduction in insulin dose should be done gradually and only under the treating doctor’s supervision, based on glucose monitoring and overall clinical status.
🌱 Key Message
“Consistency in treatment + proper diet + lifestyle modification + appropriate medical care = Better outcomes.”
A holistic approach can support diabetes management while continuing essential medical treatment.
